Here we’ve got a moment where some big blue dude in space jail starts messing around with Quill’s beloved Walkman. If Quill’s angry reaction seems surprisingly fierce, it’s because the Walkman is more than just a source of tunes — it’s one of the only ties he has to his homeworld. As Gunn puts it, “I don’t think of it as a joke, because it’s very dear to him. It’s the umbilical cord that connects him to earth and the home and family he lost.” I’m also very glad they kept the song from the Comic-Con teaser footage. It just works perfectly for the tone of Guardians.

There are several different ships in Guardians, as we’ve seen from the toy line. This is Star-Lord’s ride, the Milano. There are several shots that look to be taken from a battle above the same alien city, which is shaped a bit like a star. There’s also another unknown ship dropping tons of bombs.
