A few days ago, director James Gunn talked about how his production team plans to bring the cosmic superhero movie to life on the big screen. Although Gunn didn’t announce who would play Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy, he did mention that Marvel is close to making a decision on the actor for the furry role. Marvel also recently cast Zoe Saldana as Gamora. She will join Chris Pratt and Dave Batista, who will play Star-Lord and Drax the Destroyer, respectively.

Guardians of the Galaxy will hit theaters everywhere on August 1, 2014, in 3D.
