If Star Wars and Back to the Future had a baby, it might look something like this painting. Entitled “I Find Your Lack of Jiggawatts Disturbing,” a lovely fellow named Anton Marrast is responsible for mashing these two beloved science fiction properties together into a singular piece of art.

Showing Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) tiptoeing around the Death Star in pilfered Stormtrooper outfits, Marrast’s image does a nice job of capturing the characters. Doc Brown’s expression is spot on, that kind of baffled amusement that the character wears throughout the franchise. Whatever they’re peeking at, it blows his mind a little, but he still retains the ability to take everything in stride. Probably due to a lifetime of inhaling various chemical compounds in a laboratory setting.

Darth Vader is just sort of kicking it, hanging back in the time machine. I don’t know about that part of this scenario. In my mind I guess I equate the DeLorean with the Millennium Falcon. Both share a similar cobbled jankiness, held together by duct tape and the sheer force of will, and you wouldn’t be surprised if either one of them fell apart if someone loosed an exceptionally large sneeze in the general proximity.

If you think this bad boy would look good hanging on your wall, check out the Society 6 webpage, where you can order a print on a variety of materials. You can also get it on a t-shirt, tote bag, or iPhone case, if your little heart desires.
