It’s comics day! Of course, Wednesday is always comics day, but this particular comics day is a doozy. Whether you’re a devout comic reader or a newbie curious to test the waters, this week’s releases are a multitude of geeky, sci-fi wonderment. The X-Files: Season 10 continues the in-canon adventures of Mulder and Scully in the aftermath of the forgettable last movie, and now they’re up against an old enemy — the Flukeman!
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The official Star Trek comic has the Enterprise crew caught in the midst of war between the Klingons and the Romulans. Mass Effect: Foundation flashes back to Miranda Lawson and Jacob Taylor’s search for the remains of the late Commander Shepard. Doctor Who has the Time Lord teaming up with Oscar Wilde, and Clara with Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickock. And there’s more, with new issues of Ghostbusters, Judge Dredd, Saga, The Walking Dead, and more!
Seriously, there is nothing much on TV tonight so why not curl up on the comfy couch with a tablet and a virtual stack of comics? If you haven’t touched a comic since the days you were still in short pants, why not download one of the apps like Comixology and see how the medium has evolved? You can even check out preview pages for many of this week’s titles below, to see if anything catches your interest. There’s a lot of good stuff out there.
