On March 17, while much of the world will be out getting wasted on green beer and pretending to be a little bit Irish for St. Patrick’s Day, some of us will be sitting in front of our TVs, patiently waiting for the next episode of The CW’s The Flash. Especially after the way last night’s episode ended. Since it’s a while to wait, and we’re going to be gnawing on our fingernails until then, the network has released this extended look at what’s next.

If you’re not caught up, you might want to sit this one out as there might be some spoilers if you aren’t current.

Last night’s episode, “Fallout,” revealed explicitly what viewers already knew, that Doctor Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanaugh) is the Reverse Flash, the man responsible for the death of Barry Allen’s (Grant Gustin) mother 15 years ago. Most of the cast still doesn’t know that, though Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) and Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) know he was involved somehow. And Gorilla Grodd shows up at the end of the hour, which is pretty awesome.

This preview, for the episode “Out of Time,” focuses primarily on Wells’ betrayal of all of the S.T.A.R. Labs team, including Cisco and Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker). Though it is Barry who you just know is going to bear the brunt of this burden, they all trusted him and put their faith in him, and as you know if you’ve been keeping up with The Flash, he’s been playing them from the start. Even if he didn’t straight up betray everyone, he has been keeping some pretty serious secrets, like the fact that he can walk for one. That’s going to be a shocker when it comes out.

But that’s not all that’s going on in “Out of Time.” According to the synopsis on IMDb, which is not official, the episode apparently sees the return of Clyde Mardon (Chad Rock), though I’m not sure how that’s going to work, since Joe shot him dead in the pilot. This is a comic book-based series, however, so there are always a way around death, and Clyde’s even more powerful brother, Mark Mardon, aka the Weather Wizard, also shows up looking for revenge against the Flash.

The Flash returns with “Out of Time” on Tuesday, March 17.
