Doctor Who Season 7 Pictures Are Full Of Daleks And Dinosaurs

By David Wharton | 8 years ago

We’re still weeks away from the premiere of Doctor Who‘s seventh season (or thirty-third, depending on how you’re counting), and Who fans such as myself are getting anxious. Unless a TARDIS materializes in my front yard, there’s no way to skip over that time, and these rather awesome pics from the upcoming season aren’t making the wait any more tolerable. One thing is clear: showrunner Steven Moffat wasn’t kidding when he hinted that the Daleks would have a big role this season…

…a big, big role…

Daleks not to your liking? Well, they’ve also got dinosaurs…

…gunslingers…

…and, uh…Egyptians? Your guess is as good as mine.

You can check out all 20 of the new images in the gallery below, but be forewarned: some of the images contain elements that may or may not be spoilers. Without context they don’t blow the lid off any secrets, but if you want to go into the new season totally unspoiled, you should probably stick to the images we’ve embedded above.

If you want more info about what season 7 has to offer, we’ve got the official titles and synopses for the first three eps below. Spoilers, sweetie…

Episode 1: Asylum Of The Daleks — Kidnapped by his oldest foe, the Doctor is forced on an impossible mission – to a place even the Daleks are too terrified to enter… the Asylum. A planetary prison confining the most terrifying and insane of their kind, the Doctor and the Ponds must find an escape route. But with Amy and Rory’s relationship in meltdown, and an army of mad Daleks closing in, it is up to the Doctor to save their lives, as well as the Pond’s marriage.

Episode 2: Dinosaurs On A Spaceship — An unmanned spaceship hurtles towards certain destruction – unless the Doctor can save it, and its impossible cargo… of dinosaurs! By his side a ragtag gang of adventurers; a big game hunter, an Egyptian Queen and a surprised member of the Pond family. But little does the Doctor know there is someone else onboard who will stop at nothing to keep hold of his precious, prehistoric cargo.

Episode 3: A Town Called Mercy — The Doctor gets a Stetson (and a gun!), and finds himself the reluctant Sheriff of a Western town under siege by a relentless cyborg, who goes by the name of the Gunslinger. But who is he and what does he want? The answer seems to lie with the mysterious, Kahler-Jex, an alien doctor (yes another one!) whose initial appearance is hiding a dark secret.

In addition to those, Doctor Who TV has confirmed that the fourth and fifth episodes will be titled “The Power of Three” and “The Angels Take Manhattan.” Both titles are intriguing, and we’ve already heard some pretty crazy rumors about “The Angels Take Manhattan.”
