We’re a mere five days away from the return of Doctor Who! As announced last week, Doctor Who will be premiering this coming Saturday, September 1st, on BBC One in the U.K. (7:20pm) and on BBC America stateside (9/8c). If you’re impatiently marking the days off your calendar, then…well, this will probably just make the waiting even worse. Either way, here’s the latest Doctor Who season 7 trailer. Take a look at what the “Asylum of the Daleks” holds…

That, my friends, is a lot of freakin’ Daleks. I shudder to think how much stage fright the Doctor must be undergoing there in the Parliament. Does the “imagine the crowd naked” thing still work with Daleks? Or would that make it worse?

This Saturday’s premiere of “Asylum of the Daleks” kicks off a run of five new episodes before the show breaks again. After “Asylum,” we’ve got the awesomely titled “Dinosaurs on a Spaceship,” the Western-looking “A Town Called Mercy,” “The Power of Three,” and finally “The Angels Take Manhattan.” That episode will be the final one for Amy Pond and Rory…one way or another. That will take us through the end of September, then the show will break until the Christmas episode, and then return with the rest of the run in 2013.
