Doctor Who Minisode And Christmas Special Trailer Will Get You In The Holiday Spirit

I love Doctor Who’s tradition of the Christmas episode. Sure, many shows will do holiday-themed eps as the holidays roll through, but it’s definitely a bigger deal on Who than it is with most shows. And there’s just something about the Doctor, and his world, that fits perfectly into the holiday season. Maybe it’s the fact that the season is associated with miracles and wonders, not to mention that the show often fills its Christmas episodes with pseudo-Victorian settings straight out of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

While we still have awhile to wait before this year’s Who Christmas special, the BBC premiered both a prequel “minisode” and a trailer for the Xmas ep last night as part of their Children in Need charity special.
