This 2006 short-form anime was originally released directly to the Internet, so it’s fitting that you can still watch it there. It tells the story of a stargazing young girl who meets a boy with a strange talent for astronomy, and whose life exists largely to help others. It isn’t a story that defies expectations, but it’s a sweet tale of fighting for individuality and features some pretty awesome animation as well. The rare sciencey anime that doesn’t overextend its plot elements.
