One of the best parts of Joss Whedon’s short-lived sci-fi western, Firefly, aside from, you know, the actual show, is the chemistry and obvious affection the cast and crew all have for each other. If you watched any of their panel from Comic-Con this year, you can’t help but notice how well they get along. On November 11th, the Science Channel will marathon the entire series, all 14 episodes, and conclude the evening with a new, 10th anniversary cast reunion special called Firefly: Browncoats Unite.

This clip from that special hints at a potential conflict that could possibly, almost, perhaps have reared its ugly head on the set. Nathan Fillion, who plays Captain Malcolm “Mal” Reynolds, is generally regarded as a super-nice guy. Well, apparently he was a bit of a “jerk” to a future castmate on his audition day. Find out who he offended in the video embedded below.

Shocking, isn’t it?

So, it sounds like Fillion and co-star Summer Glau, who played River Tam, almost got off on the wrong foot. Fortunately for fans, and the people who had to work with them on a daily basis, it seems like they ironed out any potential clashes and quarrels.

From Glau’s account, it sounds more like Fillion was just channeling that smart-ass sense of humor that endeared Mal to fans, and that he has in pretty much every role he’s had since Firefly.

The November 11th marathon begins at 7AM and runs all day, until 10PM when Firefly: Browncoats Unite premieres.
