It’s Friday and that means if you’re a Battlestar Galactica fan then it’s time for two new installments in their new Battlestar Galactica-series spinoff, Blood and Chrome. Episodes five and six are now available to watch and the action is getting more heated as this story unfolds.

The new episodes features young Bill Adama (Luke Pasqualino) as he fights off Cylon Raiders. The episodes also feature Battlestar Osiris as it tries to hold off a Cylon base station. If there’s one thing we’ve learned from these new installments is that humans and Cylons don’t really like each other.

We are now more than halfway into Blood and Chrome with only four more episodes left in the Battlestar Galactica web-series. But as Blood and Chrome comes to an end in a few weeks, there is more to come from the new SyFy Channel web-series. The SyFy Channel plans to edit together Blood and Chrome’s 10 episodes into one long unrated, uncut, and uninterrupted two-hour special TV event. Soon after, the entire web-series will be available on Blu-ray/DVD for your Battlestar Galactica viewing pleasure.

At the moment, it’s unclear if the SyFy Channel will make Blood and Chrome into a TV series for their network. The producers behind the Battlestar Galactica spinoff now claim they only intended Blood and Chrome to be a web-series but there was some speculation that the two-hour version was secretly a back door pilot that would garner new episodes on the SyFy Channel.

A few weeks ago, the web-series’ producers put those rumors to rest by stating that it was “always developed” as an online series. But it feels like if Blood and Chrome is successful online and on home entertainment then why not makes Blood and Chrome into a bona fide TV series? We all know the SyFy Channel needs something like BSG on its airwaves.
