As a general rule, motorcycles terrify me. Me and vehicles with two wheels don’t get along. This particular motorcycle, however, is pretty damn cool. Boba Fett is one of the most popular characters in the Star Wars canon. Something about his quiet badassness, the dogged determination with which he hunts down his quarry, and Slave-1, his sweet spacecraft (that looks like an iron), really struck a chord with audiences.
As an homage to his nerd-filled upbringing, one Star Wars fanatic/motorcycle enthusiast dressed his BMW bike up like the bounty hunter’s ship. Were Boba Fett an earthbound entity, perhaps this is the sort of terrestrial vehicle he would ride. I can’t stop imagining Dog the Bounty Hunter sitting astride this bike while tracking down bail jumpers and outlaws on the lamb.
The intricate detail work is what really brings it all together. On the body, on the front leg things (I know nothing about motorcycle anatomy), and even down to the Star Wars-themed Garmin GPS. That’s dedication.
The bike even prominently features the Mandalorian Insignia he wears on his chest…
…and is emblazoned with the Mythosaur Skull symbol he wears on his shoulder.
And here is a close up of the accompanying helmet. While it would be awesome to burn down the street, zipping in and out of traffic wearing this thing—that would certainly turn some heads—that isn’t the best idea. The vision on this helmet is severely restricted, and as a result, it isn’t exactly street safe. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
