Battleship’s Super Bowl Trailer Seems More Desperate Than Ever To Look Like Transformers

I’m not sure if Battleship is just trying to make itself seem similar in tone to Transformers or whether the studio marketers behind it are actually hoping to fool people into thinking it’s somehow a Transformers sequel… but whatever their motives looking exactly like Transformers seems to be the only reason for the film’s new Super Bowl spot.
This is nothing new for Battleship, the whole thing has looked like a lazy, half-assed Transformers rip-off since the beginning. But the Battleship Super Bowl spot takes that to an entirely new level. Watch and tell me if you agree…
