Add A Unique Touch To Your Star Wars Collection With These Typography Prints

Typography and art come together in increasingly creative and interesting ways. It’s no longer just about text and images as individual elements of a piece, but the line between the two is blurred to the point where they become one and the same. Nowhere is this combination more evident than in these Star Wars-themed prints.

From designer Pete Ware and 17th and Oak (who also have a number sweet pictures in a similar manner from other movies, like Raiders of the Lost Ark and Rocky IV), each image features an iconic character from the Star Wars universe, and their form is composed of letters. Each person—Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Yoda, and Boba Fett—is made out of one of their signature line from Empire Strikes Back.

For example, Yoda’s body is made out of his line, “Do or do not. There is no try,” and Vader’s “You don’t know the power of the dark side.” Of course Han’s is a smart-ass quip, “Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.” You’d expect nothing less from a scruffy looking nerf herder.

There’s something about these images. They strike a nice balance between simple design and complex execution, and the finished product is quite striking. You can order each one HERE for about $50, and the 16.5 by 11.7 inch prints fit in a standard A3 picture frame for your convenience. In an age when so much is digital, these pictures have a comforting rustic feel to them.
