Face Off (Syfy, 9/8c)
Syfy’s makeup competition is one of the few chunks of reality TV I enjoy, ‘cause I’m a sucker for good creature work. However, the network keeps trying to make it “bigger,” so at this rate I’m expecting the new season of Face Off have some sort of Godzilla tie-in that challenges the contestants to create a life-sized kaiju. Of course then they’re have to super-size the Robot Combat League to retaliate. This could get messy.

The Tomorrow People (9/8c)
This remake of the cult British series tried and failed to capture my attention over the past few months. It’s never a good sign when I tune in several episodes into the season and realize I can’t remember any of the characters’ names. Apparently I’m not the only one, because The Tomorrow People is hovering right on the edge of cancellation. If you’re digging the show more than we are, you better watch it while you can!
