Don’t Panic, Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy Is Going On Tour

In addition to being the definitive repository of all worthwhile knowledge in the universe, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is also a rather good series of books by Douglas Adams, which were also radio series and which eventually became a movie. We’d like to forget about the movie.

So the radio play is going on tour as a stage play. A Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy tour has been announced with 32 dates in the United Kingdom. The performance they’re putting on will involve the original cast of the radio series. That means you’ll get, for instance, Stephen Moore as the voice of Marvin the Paranoid Android and Simon Jones as Arthur Dent. It was Jones who first announced the tour on BBC Radio.

They’re calling this adaptation The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Radio Show – Live! a description which is both wholly accurate and also somewhat misleading since it’s not actually being broadcast on the radio.

The show kicks off June 8th and 9th in Glasgow and ends in Edinburgh during July. Make sure you bring your towel.
