Amazon Italy leaked additional details regarding the upcoming Mortal Kombat game, titled Mortal Kombat 1. This new leak confirms segments of our previous report about the game receiving some of the bloodiest superheroes as DLC and the fact that it’s resetting everything again—the latter actually refers to the soft reboot of the franchise.

According to VGC, Amazon Italy just leaked additional information regarding Mortal Kombat‘s Kombat Pack, which will offer early access to six new playable characters—three of which are crossover characters—and five Kameo characters as well. The Pack releases will follow in the footsteps of the previous game, Mortal Kombat 11, so fans can expect several more Kombat Packs in the future as well. Amazon also confirmed that the game will release in three separate editions, two of which will include the aforementioned Pack.

As for the characters the Pack adds to Mortal Kombat 1, players will receive Quan Chi, Omni Man, Ermac, Peacemaker, Takeda, and Homelander. Guest characters are perhaps the most brutal ones; we previously mentioned Homelander of The Boys and Peacemaker of The Suicide Squad in the previous leak, but Omni Man of Invincible is a bit of a surprise. Regardless, the innate physical brutality of all three-guest characters will certainly fit in nicely with the otherwise physically brutal narrative of the Mortal Kombat universe.

When it comes to the Kameo characters, the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 will feature Tremor, Johnny Cage, Khameleon, Mavado, and Ferra. It’s worth noting that while Cage has been listed as the Kameo, this is most likely an alternative version of the characters since he was already confirmed as part of the playable roster of Mortal Kombat characters. Though that could’ve been a mistake, it’s really hard to imagine a Mortal Kombat game without Johnny Cage as a playable character, so if he isn’t playable, he’ll likely become playable in the future.

Some reports have suggested that Conan the Barbarian might potentially join the Mortal Kombat 1 roster, though that still hasn’t been officially confirmed or corroborated by an accidental third-party leak—this Amazon leak corroborates Peacemaker and Homelander, so it’s entirely possible for Conan to appear in one of the future packs, or even become a part of the main roster, all of which still hasn’t been confirmed. So, we urge the readers to take all the information discussed here with a grain of salt until Warner Bros. or NetherRealm officially confirms Conan’s appearance.

Amazon Italy most likely received the information to prepare its sales pages for the game, its editions, and DLCs, but it ended up accidentally publishing the information ahead of time for a pre-order. Mortal Kombat 1′s official release date is on September 19, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games. The game will introduce a reborn universe, created by the Fire God Liu Kang, following Mortal Kombat 11‘s narrative, which will also feature alternate versions of our favorite characters.
