Apparently, the cast of Harison Ford’s Yellowstone spin-off 1923 is seeing ghosts on set. During an interview, Brandon Sklenar, who plays Spencer Dutton in the series, told The Wrap that he saw a ghost that would make even the skeptics believe while the cast and crew were filming scenes for Season 1 on the Queen Mary.

Brandon Sklenar plays Spencer Dutton, the youngest son of James and Margaret Dutton (played by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill in 1883). Spencer is a professional hunter who has been preying on dangerous predators in Sub-Saharan Africa. He spends the bulk of the season traveling back from across the world to his family in Montana to help them against greedy businessmen and murderous shepherds.

To get back to the States, Spencer must travel on the RMS Majestic with his new wife, Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer). To film the scenes of Spencer’s journey back to Yellowstone, the show used the notoriously haunted ship, Queen Mary, and evidently saw a ghost. During his interview with The Wrap, Sklenar recounted his experience seeing the spirit, saying that a figure appeared in a photo taken in the ballroom of the ship.

The Yellowstone actor couldn’t hold back his excitement when speaking about the ghost. Sklenar explained that the cast and crew had been filming a scene in the ballroom of the Queen Mary, after which someone took a photo of the room. Much to Sklenar’s surprise, the photo, which should have shown an empty piano, instead depicted a “white figure” sitting on the bench, clearly playing the keys.

Sklenar apparently was so amazed by the photo of the Yellowstone ghost that he kept the picture on his phone. The Vice actor says that the photo of the spirit would be mind-blowing to anyone, even skeptics who don’t believe in apparitions from the other side.

While Sklenar’s recount of the Yellowstone ghost is the spookiest part of the interview, the actor also reminisced what it was like to film the rest of Season 1 of 1923 and described his excitement in regard to the future of the series. Sklenar explained how his experiences as an actor and as an audience member watching the season were drastically different. Since Sklenar and Schlaepfer filmed their journey coming from Africa, away from the rest of the Duttons, they filmed their scenes entirely separate from the rest of the cast, and Sklenar had to watch the series as it released to fill in the gaps between scenes.

Sklenar discussed how he doesn’t have any idea where the show is going (and if there might be more Yellowstone ghost stories in the future), but he is just as excited as the fans to find out. The actor described how Yellowstone franchise creator, Taylor Sheridan, is an expert at throwing obstacles in the way of the characters, and Sklenar can’t wait to see what kind of journey is in store for Spencer once he arrives in the States. Additionally, Sklenar is dying to film a scene with Harrison Ford, who plays Jacob Dutton, the current patriarch of the Dutton family in 1923
