WandaVision introduces a strange voice on a radio in the second episode that asks Wanda, “Who is doing this to you, Wanda?” It’s an ominous moment that gives us a small bit of insight into what the larger mystery of the show might be at this point. At the end of the first episode, we saw someone watching the strange sitcom reality that Wanda and Vision find themselves in. Is this the person subjecting Wanda to some strange experiment? But more importantly, who was the voice that was trying to reach her?

There are a number of potential theories about the WandaVision radio’s voice. How can we narrow them down? First, it is clearly someone who knows Wanda well enough to call her by her first name. That immediately leads us to believe that it is one of her fellow Avengers. Since we know that Wanda will be teaming up – or possibly fighting – Doctor Strange in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, could the Sorcerer Supreme be the one that is trying to reach out to her? If she is stuck in some kind of alternate dimension, he would be one of the Avengers best suited to rescuing her.

Or could the voice on the WandaVision radio be a more science-based Avenger? The show has yet to confirm any other Avenger cameos, but could we see Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man or Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner try to save her? There are definitely a number of options when it comes to that arm of the Avengers. Any of the more technologically based heroes could be trying to reach wherever she is.

Perhaps the voice on the WandaVision radio is actually a character we haven’t met yet. Or, at least, not in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We know that Evan Peters is in the show in some capacity. He famously played the mutant Quicksilver in the X-Men series of films. In the comics, Quicksilver and Wanda Maximoff a.k.a. Scarlet Witch are siblings. Could this be an alternate universe Quicksilver trying to reach out to his sister from another universe? If that is the case, this would be a huge setup for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Heck, could this be the way the entire experiment gets rebranded as the MCM: the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse?

Whoever the voice on the WandaVision radio is, it is clear that they are trying to reach Wanda and save her. Originally, we all thought that this strange universe sitcom was one Wanda was solely responsible for creating and controlling. But, it looks like there is some outside force that is either keeping her trapped or is using her own reality-bending powers against her. And the voice on the radio is trying to rescue her or at least get her to snap out of this delusion. Whoever the voice is seems to be a friend. But what if the realization is that no one is doing this to Wanda but herself?

The voice on the WandaVision radio is but one of the many mysteries this show is teasing. We can’t wait to see how it all unravels.
