It’s not often that you see some of the biggest action stars together in one place, but the stars did align at the F1 Miami Grand Prix. Fast X‘s Vin Diesel and Ludacris ran into Tom Cruise at the racing event and even commemorated the moment with a pic, which Diesel shared on his Instagram. Check out the post below:

Despite being in some of the most profitable action franchises of all time, we’ve strangely never seen Vin Diesel and Tom Cruise cross paths on screen. Fans who saw Diesel’s post hope that will change, as many of them suggested that Diesel recruit Cruise as the villain in the final Fast & Furious film after the upcoming Fast X.

Seeing Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto face off against a villainous Tom Cruise would certainly be an exciting way to cap off the long-running franchise. Cruise doesn’t go into villain mode often, but when he does, it can be pretty awesome. Case in point, his suave hitman in the Michael Mann film Collateral.

Whether or not this Fast 11 fan wish comes to fruition, we can still look forward to seeing both Vin Diesel and Tom Cruise return to their biggest action franchises this summer. Diesel’s Fast X is just around the corner, as it’s set to come out on May 19. The penultimate entry to the franchise will see Jason Momoa’s villainous Dante seeking revenge against Dom and his family.

While Vin Diesel returns to the world of fast cars, Tom Cruise will be returning to the world of spycraft in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Part One on July 12. Cruise will reprise the role of Ethan Hunt, while Christopher McQuarrie returns to direct and co-write the script with Bruce Geller. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will be followed up by Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two in 2024.

Coincidentally, both Vin Diesel and Tom Cruise are wrapping up their big franchises with two-part finales, as Fast X is the penultimate entry to Fast & Furious while the Dead Reckoning films will wrap up Ethan Hunt’s story. Both actors are also bringing along dynamic, star-studded casts for their last rodeos. Along with Diesel and Momoa, Fast X‘s cast includes Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, John Cene, Jason Statham, Rita Moreno, Helen Mirren, Brie Larson, Charlize Theron, Alan Ritchson, Cardi B, Nathalie Emmanuel, Michel Rooker, and Leo Abelo Perry.

Not to be outdone by Vin Diesel’s Fast X crew, Tom Cruise has a star-studded cast of his own for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Part One. Along with Cruise, the film stars Hayley Atwell, Vanessa Kirby, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Henry Czerny, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham, Charles Parnell, Frederick Schmidt, and Cary Elwes. While we wait for Diesel and Cruise’s next big films, you can also hear Diesel reprise his role as Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which is in theaters now.
