Tom Hiddleston’s Loki evolved into becoming one of the most beloved characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during the Infinity Saga. Naturally then, when the time came for Marvel to start producing series on Disney+, Loki was one of the first in line to get their own series. Last year, Loki ended up being an absolute hit and evolved the character in a heart-warming and profound way, by introducing Tom Hiddleston’s Loki to the Loki variant Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino). Season two of Loki is currently filming and is set to air on Disney+ next summer and Comicbook.com has revealed fans can already see Tom Hiddleston and his Loki variant getting some fast food in a sneak peek first look at season two filming.

This first set of images shows the iconic original Tom Hiddleston Loki variant and Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie variant standing by a rather pristine-looking pickup truck with a McDonald’s set behind it; a not-so-subtle piece of product placement. The pair appear to be slightly incognito, no Asgardian flourishes to their outfits here, but still gloriously suave in Earthly clothing. The fact that Loki and Sylvie are pictured together shows that the pair may be trying to re-establish their relationship. This is after the events of Loki season one, in which Sylvie tricked and banished Loki so that she could slay He Who Remains (a Kang variant portrayed by the magnificent Jonathan Majors) and set the Marvel Multiverse into complete and utter chaos.

The Tom Hiddleston Loki variant then wound up in an alternate reality of the infamous TVA in the closing scenes of Loki season one, post-Sylvie trickery, a timeline where it appeared as if Kang reigned supreme over all things. In the image above, Sylvie’s new look can be seen in greater detail, her golden circular collar piece seems to have gone through a bit of wear and tear, a possible sign that things haven’t been all plain sailing since she struck down He Who Remains. Given the topsy-turvy nature of Loki and its ability to chop and change realities and timelines, Sylvie’s new look could be the consequence of a myriad of reasons.

Two close-ups of Tom Hiddleston as Loki (pictured above) show the character in a somber mood in-take and the actor in high spirits when film cameras aren’t rolling, perhaps hinting that Loki and Sylvie’s late-night McDonald’s rendezvous isn’t as harmonious as the former would have hoped. Again, assuming that these two characters are the variants we saw in season one could prove foolhardy, perhaps these are two completely new variants, with a completely different backstory, such is the fun of Loki’s time-bending premise.

These daylight shots of Tom Hiddleston as Loki show off his suave outfit in broader detail, a smart long coat, neat tie, and brown suit pants, the look is evidence of both Hiddleston’s and Loki’s charming and smart personas. All these photos may just be a sneak peek offering little detail other than ‘look,’ but it is enough to stir excitement among fans of one of Marvel’s most beloved characters and series.

Given the importance of both Kang and the Multiverse in the upcoming phases five and six of the MCU, it will be intriguing, to say the least, to witness how Loki season two plays out next summer on Disney+.
