In the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, there are a few big household names that often come to mind. For many, it’s Harry Potter himself: Daniel Radcliffe. For others, it might be Rupert Grint’s Ron Weasley or Emma Watson’s Hermione Granger. But when it comes to the house that Slytherin built, one of the more recognizable names is Draco Malfoy, famously portrayed by actor Tom Felton. Recently, Felton dished about the possibility of working with Daniel Radcliffe again, but this time outside the realms of Hogwarts.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Tom Felton was asked about the chances of working with his Harry Potter family on other projects, to which he detailed how each actor has expressed interest in it at some point in the last few years. Specifically discussing the prospect of working with Radcliffe, Felton stated, “Daniel and I have often joked about the idea of when we do work together again, he’ll be the villain and I’ll be the hero.” This could come as a surprise to many, as throughout the Harry Potter franchise, Felton’s character of Draco Malfoy was often aligned with the darker sides of the storylines. This would be a true role reversal and possibly a welcome change of pace for many of their loyal fans.

Alas though, there are currently no scheduled plans or projects in which Tom Felton and Daniel Radcliffe will appear together onscreen. As detailed by Cinema Blend, there have been rumors about a film version in the works to adapt the successful two-part play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, but there is no confirmation at this time that the film has been green lit. The play is built around Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy’s sons, and features Harry and Draco as adult parents. This has largely fueled some speculation that a potential film could include members of the original Harry Potter franchise, but as of this writing, it doesn’t look like anyone in the cast has confirmed that this will happen any time soon.

The first film to be adapted into the Harry Potter franchise that hit theaters in the United States, from the books written by author J.K. Rowling, was the 2001 box office smash Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Grossing over $1 Billion as of this writing, according to IMDB, the first film to feature the boy who lived welcomed audiences into the Wizarding World and childlike wonderment of the magic that surrounds every character. While Radcliffe played the protagonist Harry Potter onscreen, it was Tom Felton’s take on Draco Malfoy that made the Malfoy family one to be feared. He embodied the spirit of Slytherin and is most likely remembered best for the role by many fans around the world.

Even though there are no current plans for a collaboration of sorts between Tom Felton and Daniel Radcliffe, the two have recently reunited onscreen. The two actors joined other cast and crew when they were interviewed for the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts special that premiered on New Year’s Day, and is still available on HBO Max. As of this writing, Felton is next to be seen in Joel David Moore’s Some Other Woman costarring Ashley Greene, currently in post-production.
