The rumors for a live-action Batman Beyond movie are not going to stop anytime soon. While DC has yet to confirm such a film is even happening, the internet thinks they should get on it. To help them along, we have fan artists, like spdrmnkyxxiii on Instagram, ready to give them visuals and full recommendations. Today, we can get a full look at what Timothée Chalamet would look at in the role of Terry McGinnis for a Batman Beyond movie in Neo-Gotham.

While rumors of a DC movie starring Timothée Chalamet are all still just that, they’ve been going around for months. If WarnerMedia wasn’t ready to give the fans what they wanted, they could have considered that before they put Batman Beyond on HBO Max. When the three seasons of the 1999 animated series hit the streaming service, fans remembered just what made this Batman series stand out from the rest.

Now, WarnerMedia has given fans too clear a vision of exactly what they’d like to see. After Michael Keaton’s return to the role of Batman for The Flash was announced, the picture only became clearer for fans. While Timothée Chalamet’s reps have officially said this past week that there are no such talks happening for the star, insiders are not convinced that’s true.

What makes the story for Batman Beyond special is that Bruce Wayne wasn’t the main character. In this story, we see an older Wayne mentoring Terry McGinnis in a Gotham City that’s still gritty, but more futuristic. It has a cyberpunk feel, a fresh superhero for the central role, and takes the Batman franchise to a new place. Timothée Chalamet, with his burgeoning fame and adoration from the internet, could be an easy fit for the role.

If you’re not one of the many who follow Timothée Chalamet’s every move on Instagram, he’s been a growing star for a while now. He picked up attention with his role in the Greta Gerwig indie movie Lady Bird, and then Little Women. He even earned his first Academy Award nomination for his performance in Call Me By Your Name. Now, he’s the center of the much-anticipated and previously delayed Dune movie hitting theaters and HBO Max in October 2021.

Timothée Chalamet’s upcoming role in Dune has opened him up to a much wider audience. In recent years, he’s been well-known as a sort of teen idol, similar to the fandom energy that follows Harry Styles. Some first heard about the young actor in John Mulaney’s bit about his wife being a fan. Recently, many saw him surprisingly killing it on SNL. If you did, you won’t be surprised if the next rumors are a buddy-comedy with Pete Davidson.

If the Batman Beyond rumors prove true, it’ll be interesting to see if the Timothée Chalamet rumors follow. While we have an upcoming Batman movie with Robert Pattinson in the role, and Michael Keaton returning for The Flash, there always seems to be more room for more variations on this particular superhero.
