For anyone not up to speed on YouTube personalities and the relevant projects that they produce, The Try Guys may be at the top of YouTube’s list when it comes to wild antics and showy comedic content. First appearing at BuzzFeed before they left to start their own production company in 2018, The Try Guys have made a name for themselves on their own YouTube channel that has 7.9 million subscribers and a Food Network series called No-Recipe Road Trip With the Try Guys that debuted earlier this summer. The group of four consisted of Keith Habersberger, Ned Fulmer, Zach Kornfeld, and Eugene Lee Yang before Fulmer was ousted last month due to behavioral conduct the group deemed to be offensive, and now The Try Guys are working around the clock to edit their videos to remove Fulmer entirely.

According to a report by Variety, The Try Guys have chosen to completely sever ties with former member Ned Fulmer and have demonstrated their willingness to leave his inappropriate behavior in the past by deleting him from new videos that the group will feature on their YouTube channel. Appearing to take the matter seriously, Keith Habersberger, Zach Kornfeld, and Eugene Lee Yang made a video to detail what had happened behind the scenes with Fulmer, explaining that the ex-member engaged in a consensual workplace extramarital affair and that an investigation into the matter had taken place. Fulmer was removed from the comedy foursome and the editing staff at The Try Guys’ production company, the aptly named 2nd Try, has started removing Fulmer from videos the group made while he was still part of the team.

With the events surrounding Ned Fulmer’s exit from The Try Guys and their production company, the remaining trio of comedians felt that they wanted the investigation to play out before releasing any information. Fulmer was removed from the group last month as a result of his admittance to the affair on the social media platform Twitter and after rumors of the affair spread like wild fire on Reddit and TikTok, while The Try Guys attempted to shield Fulmer’s family from any negativity that may result from comments hurled at them on social media. Unfortunately for The Try Guys, many longtime fans of the comedy group realized that Fulmer was missing in many of their videos and his role had been greatly reduced, so the three remaining members decided to make an apology video to explain his absence and what transpired in recent weeks.

Since launching their comedy group, Ned Fulmer has attempted to portray his characteristics within The Try Guys as a devoted husband and father to appeal to a loyal fanbase. Due to his affair, this brand of sorts was tainted, so the famous group had to make some tough decisions as to how to proceed further. The extramarital affair between Ned Fulmer and one of his employees is just one of many scandals that have plagued YouTube celebrities in recent years, with noted stars like Logan Paul increasingly finding themselves under a microscope for their misadventures offline.
