Disney+ has released a brand new trailer for The Mandalorian season 3. The clip sets up another exciting intergalactic adventure in the galaxy, including more Jedi. “Our people are scattered, like stars in the galaxy,” Din Djarin says.

“What are we? What do we stand for?” Din Djarin continues. Then, along with Grogu, he prepares to visit Mandalore to seek forgiveness for his transgressions.

Din Djarin lost his honor by removing his helmet during a pivotal scene in the second season. But his quest for redemption in The Mandalorian Season 3 won’t be easy. The bounty hunter will have to fend off attackers who wish to stand in his way.

The trailer also gives fans a look at the return of Bo-Katan Kryze who wants to reclaim the Darksaber.

There is also a small hint at Moff Gideon’s evil plans. A group of Jedi Knights are spotted wielding their sabers. The trailer ends with Grogu, who is significantly stronger with the Force, using his powers to throw a huge, attacking creature from his path.

The Mandalorian Season 3 will premiere on March 1, exclusively on Disney+.

Although plot details are rather scarce, The Mandalorian Season 3 will be set after the events of The Book of Boba Fett. However, Pedro Pascal previously said Star Wars fans are in for some major surprises. Speaking to fans at Comic-Con Experience 2022, the actor said viewers can expect moments comparable to Luke Skywalker’s return in Season 2.

“I think some of the best things about seasons one and two were the surprises,” Pascal said via CBR. “There’s so much that you’re going to see. There are more secrets to keep.”

The second season ended with Djarin telling Grogu to complete his training with Luke Skywalker. Boba Fett and Fennec Shand traveled to Jabba’s Palace on Tatooine.

Once there, Boba Fett killed Bib Fortuna and claimed the throne. In The Book of Boba Fett, Grogu chose Djarin’s chain mail over Yoda’s lightsaber. He later reunites with his protector in battle and they fly off in an N-1 starfighter.

This is the perfect setup for The Mandalorian Season 3. Meanwhile, Giancarlo Esposito gave a much larger visual scope for the new installment.

“I love the mythology that goes behind this show that’s incorporated into the visuals that seem to be filmic,” Esposito said in an interview with Collider. He added that with each episode, fans will feel like they’re watching a new movie. The actor explained that The Mandalorian Season 3 is “a sight and sound extravaganza” that transports you to a different place.

With The Mandalorian Season 3 set to debut soon, a fourth installment is also in development. Jon Favreau made the revelation in an interview with CinemaBlend. He also talked about the prospect of new projects set in the New Republic era.

“With television, we don’t have to rush things into an hour-and-a-half,” he told the publication.

As such, the creative teams get to tell their stories slowly. “So as Dave Filoni is doing Ahsoka, it’s very much informing the writing that I’m doing for The Mandalorian after season three,” Favreau explained at the time. As a result, the storytelling is more precise and crossovers become more likely.
