Tatiana Maslany is set to make her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming series She-Hulk. She’ll star as the titular character and we will be treated to an entirely new story within the franchise. And as with any superhero show, the main character needs someone to square off against. We finally have a clue of who that’s going to be. According to Geekosity the first season of She-Hulk will have Marvel villain Titania as the primary antagonist.

We don’t know who’s going to join Tatiana Maslany in the cast to fill this Titania character role but it’s definitely a deep pull from the pages of the Marvel comic books. She first made her debut in the printed pages in Secret Wars and has been an adversary of She-Hulk over the years. The origin story for the character is an odd one and is a little bit convoluted but essentially she is given her powers by Doctor Doom and becomes one of his minions in a way. It’s not clear if they will keep this story intact or alter it a bit to fit the universe, but she does become a remarkably powerful character.

Because the Marvel Cinematic Universe might be gearing up for a massive crossover series when Secret Invasion airs, we could see both Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk and this new Titania character appear there as well. Considering that story is partially adapted from the Secret Wars story it makes sense that there will be some overlap there.

As for this new She-Hulk series, we could be seeing a program that could have Tatiana Maslany leading a show with a slightly different tone than the rest of the universe. She will play Jessica Walters who, in the comics is the niece of one Dr. Bruce Banner. She gains powers similar to the Hulk through a blood transfusion though it’s not totally clear the new show will take this approach in the series. It’s set to be something of a legal show considering the Walters character is an attorney by day. And there could be a more comedic vibe as well.

And Titania doesn’t appear to be the only one who will come at odds against Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk. Timothy Roth has already been cast as the Abomination, a super-soldier who has strength similar to Hulk’s thanks to an experimental serum. How these villains overlap will be interesting but She-Hulk could be fighting battles on multiple fronts. And because this is supposed to be a legal show with Walters taking cases involving superhumans, there’s some chance she’s even just facing one of both of these folks in the courtroom as well. It’s going to be that kind of program.

It’s still going to be a bit until we get Tatiana Maslany up on the screen as She-Hulk though. The ten-episode series isn’t set to hit Disney+ until some time in 2022. It looks like it will continue the arc of building things towards the aforementioned Secret Invasion which could be a massive event.
