The upcoming Marvel/Disney+ series She-Hulk is one of the most anticipated shows on the Marvel Cinematic Universe release schedule, and for good reason. Starring Tatiana Maslany in the title role, She-Hulk centers around Bruce Banner’s cousin Jennifer Walters, who can become a great hulking beast much like her relative. Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner/Hulk will, naturally, appear in the series. The series will mark She-Hulk’s live-action debut, which is a huge deal.

Now, you can check out Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk in a fun first-look photo. Give it a gander:

Admittedly, this set photo does not give us much at all in the way of plot reveals or even character costumes, but it does show us that Tatiana Maslany is enjoying her time as She-Hulk. She was cast back in December 2020, and as of April 13, 2021, filming on the series has officially begun. We do not have a concrete release date yet, but we do know it is slated for release next year. We also know that Jessica Gao will be serving as showrunner while Kevin Feige, Victoria Alonso, Louis D’Esposito, Kat Coiro, and Gao are functioning as the show’s executive producers. Alongside Maslany, Tim Roth, Mark Ruffalo, Ginger Gonzaga, and Renee Elise Goldsberry are also set to star.

If the name Tatiana Maslany is not ringing any bells, then you probably have not been watching too much recent television. She has been on Hollywood’s radar for years now, with her breakthrough role coming in a show that aired in the mid-2010s. She is perhaps best known for playing several characters in that aforementioned television series Orphan Black, as well as in the recent HBO series Perry Mason, Heartland, Being Erica, and The Nativity. On the film end of things, she has appeared in Eastern Promises, Diary of the Dead, The Vow, Woman in Gold, and others. Her turn as Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk will undoubtedly catapult her to even greater heights.

Created by writer Stan Lee and artist John Buscema, She-Hulk first appeared in The Savage She-Hulk #1, which is cover dated February 1980. At various points in her history, the character has been part of the Avengers, Heroes for Hire, the Fantastic Four, Fantastic Force, and The Defenders. It will be interesting to see how Tatiana Maslany ends up elevating the role.

You can catch Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk when the series premieres on Disney+ sometime in 2022. It is expected to run for ten episodes and will function as part of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What we are most excited for, though, is Tim Roth’s impending return as Abomination. That is gonna be bonkers. It has been a long time since we have seen that character in action, and hopefully, the smackdown between him and She-Hulk is everything we want it to be. And more.

What do you think, though? Will you be watching Tatiana Maslany in She-Hulk? Let us know, and stay tuned for updates on everything Marvel and Disney have planned for us. There is quite a bit on the horizon!
