Sydney Sweeney is signed up for another project, and she’ll be acting alongside Julianne Moore this time. Deadline reported on the new film Echo Valley, which comes from Apple Studios and is produced by Scott Free Films and The Walsh Company. Brad Ingelsby (HBO’s Mare of Easttown) is handling the script, and Michael Pearce will direct it.

Echo Valley follows Clair (Sydney Sweeney), who shows up on her mother Kate’s (Julianne Moore) doorstep covered in blood and frightened. The film is a thriller that shows the lengths a mother will go to save her child. There’s no news on other casting or when this film is expected to come out.

Fortunately, both Sydney Sweeney and Julianne Moore have multiple other projects in the works until then. Sweeney’s most recent film, Reality, aired at the Berlin International Film Festival and is receiving rave reviews from critics. The film follows real-life former intelligence officer Reality Winner, who leaked details of Russian interference in the 2016 elections.

There’s no word on when we can expect to see Sydney Sweeney’s Reality in theaters or on streaming, but you can catch Julianne Moore’s most recent film now on Apple TV+. Moore’s film Sharper came out in February and follows a con artist who takes on a group of Manhattan billionaires. The film is directed by Benjamin Caron and also stars Sebastian Stan, Justice Smith, Briana Middleton, John Lithgow, Philip Johnson Richardson, and more.

While we wait to see Sydney Sweeney and Julian Moore in Echo Valley, you can also look forward to Sweeney’s upcoming Americana, which is set for a March 17 release date. The film follows a small South Dakota town as outsiders and locals violently attempt to obtain a rare Lakota Ghost Shirt after it hits the black market. Americana is written and directed by Tony Tost and also stars Eric Dane, Paul Walter Hauser, Zahn McClarnon, Toby Huss, Simon Rex, Harriet Sansom Harris, and singer-songwriter Halsey in her film debut.

Sydney Sweeney in Euphoria

Before Sydney Sweeney and Julianne Moore start filming for Echo Valley, they’ll likely need to wrap up filming for their current projects. Sweeney’s upcoming untitled comedy that co-stars Top Gun: Maverick‘s Glen Powell is currently in production and so is Moore’s series Mary & George. There isn’t an official release date on either of those projects quite yet.

Only two of Sydney Sweeney’s upcoming projects have official release dates at this point, while all four of Julianne Moore’s projects have yet to pin down a release window. Moore’s upcoming projects include the aforementioned Echo Valley and the TV series Mary & George along with the films May December and Mothertrucker. Meanwhile, Sweeney’s aforementioned Americana is set for March while her Madame Web project is due out on February 16, 2024.

Madame Web may be Sweeney’s biggest blockbuster yet, as she’ll star opposite Dakota Johnson (who is playing the titular character), in the Sony superhero blockbuster. The S.J. Clarkson-directed film also stars Isabela Merced, Adam Scott, Emma Roberts, Zosia Mamet, Mike Epps, and Tahar Rahim. Stay tuned for more news on all of Sydney Sweeney and Julianne Moore’s upcoming projects.
