Mandy Patinkin shared a heartwarming story about Andre the Giant protecting Wallace Shawn while shooting The Princess Bride.
Mandy Patinkin portrayed arguably one of the best characters in cinema history, Inigo Montoya, in The Princess Bride. Patinkin took to Twitter to share some of his favorite moments from shooting the hit 1980s film, especially one that involved the kindness of Andre the Giant. Wallace Shawn had apparently been afraid of heights and began to show that fear when the three actors were being lifted by a forklift, so Andre wrapped his arms around Shawn and said, “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you.”
