George Clooney and Julia Roberts are combing their off-the-charts charm for an upcoming rom-com where they play a divorced couple. Ticket to Paradise looks like the perfect recipe for a date-night movie with two high-caliber movie stars taking the lead. Check out the trailer for the movie below:

Ticket to Paradise sees George Clooney and Julia Roberts as divorced parents who head to Bali for the sudden wedding of their daughter Lily and a local, whom she met on a post-graduation trip. The two parents decide to team up to prevent the marriage and their daughter from making a similar mistake to the one they made years earlier. Clooney and Roberts star alongside Kaitlyn Dever, Billie Lourd, Lucas Bravo, Senayt Mebrahtu, Talha Senturk, Maxime Bouttier, and more. Ol Park directs and co-writes the script with Daniel Pipski.

George Clooney and Julia Roberts are always a winning combination and Ticket to Paradise doesn’t look like it will be breaking that trend. The two superstars were last seen together in 2016’s Money Monster. Of course, their most famous team-ups are in the beloved heist flicks Ocean’s Eleven and Ocean’s Twelve. Ticket to Paradise will be hitting theaters just in time for Halloween, with Universal Pictures distributing it on October 21, 2022.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen George Clooney in a film project, as the actor has yet to appear on-screen since the COVID-19 pandemic started. The last films we saw Clooney in were in 2020 with Grizzly II: Revenge and The Midnight Sky. Clooney appears to be selective with his acting projects, so hopefully, Ticket to Paradise can live up to expectations and make up for the long-acting hiatus. Julia Roberts, on the other hand, has blessed us with her on-screen presence much more recently, with the TV series Gaslit, which told the story of the 1970s Watergate scandal from the perspectives of forgotten characters of the time. Roberts starred as Martha Mitchell, with Sean Penn, Dan Stevens, Betty Gilpin, Shea Whigham, Darby Camp, and more co-starring.

While we know that Ticket in Paradise is George Clooney’s next project, the other acting project he has scheduled is a little more mysterious. Clooney has an untitled film lined up with fellow Ocean’s Eleven star Brad Pitt, which is set to be written and directed by Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts. The movie will tell the story of two lone-wolf fixers hired to do the same job. Pitt and Clooney are both signed on to produce through their production companies.

George Clooney and his production company are as busy as ever, as Clooney is also producing the upcoming Ticket in Paradise. He is also producing his next directing project with The Boys in the Boat. The Boys in the Boat is a 1930s-set story about the University of Washington’s rowing team. It follows the origins of the rowing team as they deal with the Great Depression all the way to their appearance in the 1936 Berlin Olympics. The film is currently in production and is based on the book by Daniel James Brown.
