If you happened to have grown up in the 1980s and 1990s, you may have been introduced to A Christmas Story while growing up. The hilarious story of Ralphie, the kid who just can’t seem to get out of his way while desperately wanting a BB gun for Christmas. Well, now Ralphie is back for the sequel, and he has been teased in the first look at the continuation of the Christmas classic, which is aptly titled A Christmas Story Christmas.

The trailer for A Christmas Story Christmas opens with a family driving in what appears to be an older-looking Crown Vic car, which we can assume is Ralphie’s, turning into his old neighborhood. The classic house also appears which is accompanied by some of the best lines from the original film, including the hilarious pronunciation of “fragile.” We also get a super close-up portion of the teaser trailer that shows a very adult Ralphie putting on his glasses and smiling.

The original A Christmas Story movie followed Ralphie through several vignettes, which were also narrated by an older Ralphie. We are not entirely sure if the new sequel movie is going to be following the same formula, but we would imagine that older Ralphie is going to watch his children be tortured by Christmas in the same way that he had. We are going to be quite upset if the pink bunny suit is not brought out at least once in this new sequel, and if adult Ralphie wears it, that would be perfect.

A Christmas Story Christmas sees the return of Peter Billingsley as Ralphie, along with Scott Schwartz, Ian Petrella, R.D. Rob, Zack Ward, and Melinda Dillon. The synopsis for the sequel sees Ralphie return home to give his own children the same type of Christmas that he had as a child, while also celebrating Old Man, who has sadly passed away. We would imagine there are going to be more cameos than just the main cast returning, with some of the more minor characters returning for one final laugh.

While there is turmoil in the house of HBO Max and Warner Bros. Discovery, they are doing what they can to bring tons of Christmas movies to everyone for the holidays, and A Christmas Story Christmas is one of those slated to appear between November and December. This classic story could be just what everyone needs to forget about the massive issues that have been plaguing WBD.

We won’t have to wait much longer for A Christmas Story Christmas, which is set to premiere on HBO Max on November 17, 2022. Considering the sequel movie is going to be coming out in a month’s time, we are likely to be seeing the full trailer in the next couple of weeks, and the reveal that the sequel will follow the same vignette formula. It would be a bit sad if the sequel movie didn’t follow its predecessor, but it would also be refreshing for something new to be tried with this classic Christmas story.
