Bruce Willis And Joseph Gordon-Levitt Point Guns In A New Looper Poster
Director Rian Johnson’s futuristic action film Looper is one of the most highly anticipated films of the fall. The time travel thriller has a great cast, a killer premise, and doesn’t look like it skimps on the ass kicking.
Looper stars Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emily Blunt, Piper Perabo, Noah Segan, and Jeff Daniels. Yahoo! UK has a new international quad poster for the film, which opens on September 28th.
In the future time travel has been invented, but it has also been declared illegal. But as you all know, just because something is outlawed doesn’t mean criminals won’t use it for nefarious purposes. When the mob needs to disappear problematic individuals they simply send them thirty years into the past, where a specialized assassin called a “looper,” is waiting to put a bullet in his dome.
Joe (Gordon-Levitt) is one of these hitmen. He’s good at his job, makes a decent living, and has some nice lady friends. His life is going swell. That is until the bosses decide to “close the loop,” and send Joe’s future self (Willis) back as his next target. You can imagine the psychological and emotional ramifications of being paid to kill yourself. While past Joe contemplates the existential dilemma in front of him, future Joe takes the opportunity to extricate himself from the situation, thus causing past Joe no end of trouble.
In order to look more like Willis, Gordon-Levitt wears a variety of prosthetics throughout the movie. While I’m not sure it makes him super Willis-y, the effects definitely grizzle up the baby-faced actor.
