Bruce Willis Holds Himself Hostage In New Looper Photos
If you’re not already, now is the appropriate time to get pumped for writer/director Rian Johnson’s time travel actioner Looper. With a cast led by Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (playing a young Bruce Willis), it has the potential to be one of the most kickass movies of the fall.
In the future time travel is possible, but also highly illegal. But that’s not going to stop organized crime from using this tool to their illicit advantage. When the mob wants to disappear someone, they send the marked man into the past where a “looper” takes care of things. Joe (Gordon-Levitt) is one such assassin. He’s got a good thing going—lots of cash, a nice looking lady friend—until the day when his target shows up, and he finds himself starring into his own eyes. The mob is “closing the loop” on Joe, and sent his future self (Bruce Willis) back to be killed.
A new collection of Looper pics have appeared online at Hey U Guys; four stills from the film and a set photo.
This view of a stern-faced Gordon-Levitt gives you a good look at the end result of the prosthetics the production used to make the baby-faced actor look more grizzled, more Willis-y if you will.
It appears that in a particularly existential moment Bruce Willis will hold himself hostage.
There’s an almost obligatory shot of a beautiful woman, Piper Perabo in this case, in the midst of a seductive dance number. In a noir-influenced story like this you’d be hard pressed not to have this kind of scene…
…or an intense interrogation scene.
Looper also stars Paul Dano, Emily Blunt, Jeff Daniels, Noah Segan, and Garrett Dillahunt, and jumps into theaters September 21st.
