For any podcast and comic book fans, you should be happy as the Batman podcast, Batman: The Audio Adventures has some major updates. As of this week, we now know some more details about the casting, like Rosario Dawson (The Mandalorian and soon, Ahsoka Tano) as Catwoman and how Warner Bros. plans on releasing the show.

HBO Max will be the home for the podcast. It matches the effort to expand its selection of podcasts on the streaming service. So, if you want to hear A-listers as iconic DC characters like Rosario Dawson as Catwoman, this will be the only place you can find it.

Previously, we knew that Jeffrey Wright (Westworld) would voice the Dark Knight. Now with an update from yesterday, we know that Rosario Dawson will be Catwoman and John Leguizamo (When They See Us) as Riddler. The series will also include Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso) and Seth Meyers (Late Night with Seth Myers) along with Saturday Night Live stars Bobby Moynihan, Kenan Thompson, Heidi Gardner, and Fred Armisen. It will be directed and written by Dennis McNicholas from Saturday Night Live.

The star-studded podcast with Jeffery Wright and Rosario Dawson is the first and only podcast from HBO that is exclusive to HBO Max. Other podcasts are available on other platforms that are common homes for podcasts.

For some of the stars, it is not their first time playing as DC characters. Jeffery Wright will star in next year’s The Batman as James Gordon. The movie is directed by Matt Reeves (War for the Planet of the Apes) and also stars Robert Pattinson (The Lighthouse) as Batman, Paul Dano (Escape at Dannemora) as Riddler, Colin Farrell (Voyagers) as The Penguin, Andy Serkis (Black Panther) as Alfred Pennyworth, Zoe Kravitz (Big Little Lies) as Catwoman, and John Turturro (The Night Of) as Carmine Falcone. Then there is Rosario Dawson, who has given her voice to plenty of animated movies in worlds filled with superheroes like The Lego Batman Movie as Batgirl and played Wonder Woman in Space Jam: A New Legacy, Justice League Dark: Apokolips War, Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, The Death and Return of Superman, Reign of Superman, The Death of Superman, and various short videos.

Batman: The Audio Adventures should not get mixed up with the other Batman podcast for Spotify, Batman Unburied. While the HBO Max one will feature stars like Rosario Dawson, Unburied features Winston Duke (Us) as Bruce Wayne and Jason Isaacs (Castlevania). It will explore the dark depths of Bruce Wayne’s psyche and will be filled with some of the biggest supervillains that have faced against the Caped Crusader. It will be written by Eric Carrasco (Supergirl), Saladin Ahmed (Foundation), Rebecca Klingel (The Haunting of Hill House), and Graham Westerson (Stranger Things).

Keep an eye out for Batman: The Audio Adventures. The podcast has no hard release date, but it will hit HBO Max this fall, where you can hear Jeffery Wright, Rosario Dawson, Seth Myers, and Saturday Night Live alums voice iconic characters from the DC comics. It will be inspired by the 1960s series and the 1990s animated series.
