Bridget Jones fans are running out of time to watch her third adventure on Netflix. Bridget Jones’ Baby departs from the streaming service on November 30. The second sequel follows the titular character, portrayed by Renee Zellweger in her best-known role, as she navigates love and pregnancy alongside co-stars Colin Firth and Patrick Dempsey.

Bridget Jones’ Baby is the third movie of the Bridget Jones franchise. The first movie, Bridget Jones’ Diary, is based on a book of the same name, which itself was based on the Jane Austen novel Pride & Prejudice. In it, Renee Zellweger’s Bridget Jones is caught between her poor first impressions of barrister Mark Darcy, played by Colin Firth, and the poor behavior of her boss and love interest, Daniel Cleaver, a role performed by Hugh Grant.

The second movie in the series, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason sees the return of this love triangle as the romance established in the first movie becomes complicated by careers and mishaps. Renee Zellweger, Colin Firth, and Hugh Grant all returned to this sequel, which sees Bridget travel to Thailand in her new career, only to be detained after cocaine is slipped into her baggage and discovered by customs. True to his parallel character in the Jane Austen novel, Mark swoops in and saves the day behind the scenes, putting the romance in this romantic comedy.

The third installment follows Renee Zellweger’s character as she nurses a broken heart by having a one-night hookup with a handsome stranger named Jack, only to discover she is pregnant. However, she and Mark also reconnected as his marriage falls apart and winds up in divorce. Bridget has to figure out who the baby’s father is, her ex with whom she’s had a turbulent relationship, or her new lover, who turns out to be a tech guru and billionaire.

The plot of Bridget Jones’ Baby is further complicated because Patrick Dempsey’s Jack is a genuinely nice guy, rich, attentive, and kind. Mark’s relationship with his soon-to-be ex-wife, Camilla, also affects the romance as she keeps turning up and giving the impression that the marriage isn’t over after all. Who is the baby’s father, and which of the two will Renee Zellweger’s Bridget wind up with?

The movie was released in 2016 after a twelve-year hiatus, in part because Renee Zellweger took a break from acting. It was met with very positive reviews, including a 78% on Rotten Tomatoes on the strength of 209 critic reviews. It was also very successful at the box office, bringing in $212 million worldwide against a budget of $35 million.

Fans who want to see Renee Zellweger in the third installment are running out of time to see it on Netflix since the movie leaves the service at the end of the month. After that, viewers will only be able to watch the movie with a subscription to Paramount Plus, either directly or through Amazon Prime. This endearing romance is worth a watch, since it made Renee Zellweger a household name, so catch it on Netflix while you can!
