Prince Harry Game of Thrones

Prince Harry is apparently a Game of Thrones fan, and he feels a close kinship to one character in particular — Daenerys Targaryen. Wiki of Thrones reported on his recently released memoir Spare and said Daenerys is “so inspiring to me,” adding “Just like Daenerys, I will take back what was stolen from me.” Those are definitely some mysterious words, but it sounds like Harry would definitely be down for a House of the Dragon cameo in the future.

Emilia Clarke played the Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO adaptation of the George R.R. Martin fantasy novel series and quickly became a fan-favorite character in the show. Daenerys faced many struggles throughout the show as she attempted to rise in power and claim the Iron Throne she feels is her birthright. Hopefully, Prince Harry relates to Daenerys in the first seven seasons of Game of Thrones and not the final season where she sort of snaps and kills a bunch of people.

It’s hard to imagine what it would be like to be in a family like Prince Harry’s, but you have to imagine it might be a bit more like The Crown than Game of Thrones. Of course, George R.R. Martin’s fantasy series has plenty of political intrigue and the novels were even inspired by the Wars of the Roses — civil wars to take control of the English monarchy in the fifteenth century. Clearly, there are some parallels to be made.

While Prince Harry doesn’t get to watch Daenerys in Game of Thrones anymore, perhaps he’s feeling some kinship to other Targaryens in HBO’s House of the Dragon. The prequel series follows the inner turmoil of the Targaryen family and their eventual civil war that almost decimates the Targaryens altogether. With the family bickering in House of the Dragon, Harry might have even more to relate to.

As mentioned, maybe Prince Harry could even make a cameo appearance in House of the Dragon. The predecessor series Game of Thrones certainly had weird cameos, so it wouldn’t even feel all that out of place. The original series features cameos from Ed Sheeran, Rob McElhenney, and even the prosthetic head of former President George W. Bush (though it was later digitally removed from the episode).

Whether or not Prince Harry pops up in any future Game of Thrones content, you can definitely keep up with what’s going on in his life with his recent book release and the documentary series Harry & Megan. Harry & Megan is a six-part Netflix documentary that follows the early relationship of Harry and Megan Markle, along with the fallout of their decision to step back from the British royal family. Meanwhile, his tell-all memoir Spare has also been released and includes tidbits like the Game of Thrones mention.

As far as the actual Game of Thrones world goes, House of the Dragon just took home the Best Drama Series at the Golden Globes. The critically acclaimed series has a second season on the way. Stay tuned for more House of the Dragon news.
