A parent in Texas has gone viral for saying that Hocus Pocus 2 is dangerous. According to Jamie Gooch, “A worst-case scenario is: you unleash hell on your kids and in your home.” She added, “Everybody thinks it’s fake and innocent, but they could be casting any type of spell that they want to, anything could be coming through that TV screen into your home.”

The world is currently preparing for All Hallows Eve, otherwise known as Halloween, but every year there is always someone who takes the fun out of the worldwide holiday. While everyone prepares for the spookiest of days, there is plenty of programming that appears on TV and streaming apps to get everyone ready, most of which is harmless fun, and that is the case for Hocus Pocus 2. The movie is just paying homage to a silly Halloween movie that most of us enjoyed in the early 1990s, but apparently, the movie is now filled with messages of Hellfire and Satanic themes.

Hocus Pocus 2 reunites Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, who reprise their roles as the Sanderson Sisters. This trio of witches put spells on the children of the town of Salem, only so that they may consume them to stay alive. However, it appears that Jamie Gooch of Texas believes that this is real. Her argument is that the film may seem honest, but that the Sanderson sisters are taking these children away for a blood sacrifice.

We are not sure if Jamie Gooch has any familiarity with Bette Midler, but the talented songstress and actress would likely have nothing to do with a movie that was deeply rooted in any sort of real evil. Most of the Hocus Pocus 2 movie is bringing back hilarity in the form of the brooms the witches use to fly around, and the zombie known as Billy Butcherson attempting to stop them once again.

The worst that Hocus Pocus 2 does is bring back these charming characters and place them in hilarious situations once again. There is no blood sacrifice that happened in the first movie and the sequel is the same. The Sanderson sisters only want to suck the life force of the children in Salem.

If there had been any kind of blood going on, we are sure that Disney+ would not have been so adamant about giving the world Hocus Pocus 2. The movie is PG rated as well, so there is nothing but humor in the movie made for the younger audience. We are quite sure that anyone watching the movie has no elements of Hell to worry about unless you believe Bette Middler sold her soul to sound as amazing as she does.

Hocus Pocus 2 is currently streaming on Disney+ right now and has been since September 30th. The movie brings back Better Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Nijimy, and Doug Jones, with some other surprises waiting for those who have not yet seen the sequel movie. We guarantee there will be no need to be scared of a spell being cast on you while you watch it unless that spell is from Bette Midler’s fantastic singing voice.
