Orlando Brown became famous for starring in the Disney Channel show That’s So Raven. That show was aimed at children, but there is nothing family-friendly about the star’s recent legal trouble. He was arrested in Ohio on charges of domestic violence.

Apparently, this is just the latest major issue in Orlando Brown’s life. His brother Matthew claims that Orlando is currently homeless, so Matthew decided to let him stay in his home, which is currently being renovated. This was a kind offer in the face of the holidays and cold weather temperatures, but allegedly Brown came out of the cold only to turn his brother’s home into a living hell.

After about a month of Orlando Brown living with his brother, the local Lima Police Department received a call about a fight in progress at Matthew’s home. Orlando was allegedly threatening to attack Matthew with both a hammer and a broken knife blade but did not actually hit him, eventually laying his weapons down. However, his apparent motivation for the alleged attack involved unhinged accusations he lobbed at his brother.

According to Matthew, Orlando Brown was acting very crazy and claimed that his brother had raped his wife. So far, there does not seem to be any proof that Matthew has done anything like this. And it’s difficult to believe Orlando because of his very troubled history in recent years.

What kinds of legal troubles has Orlando Brown experienced? Back in 2018, police arrested him due to an outstanding warrant. Adding insult to injury, he was in his underwear when he was apprehended by bounty hunters who tracked him down.

He was also arrested earlier in 2018 for both narcotics possession and burglary. For these crimes, Orlando Brown spent only 60 days in jail. Relatively speaking, this was a slap on the wrist, but his more recent alleged attempted violence toward his brother may cause him to spend a long time behind bars.

Perhaps the saddest part of all of this is that it might have been prevented. After multiple brushes with the law in 2018, Brown appeared on Dr. Phil to participate in an intervention staged by his family and friends. This was the second intervention for Orlando Brown that year after some of those same friends and family held a private intervention for the star in October.

The goal of that first intervention was to get Orlando Brown to enter a rehab facility, and this seemingly worked for a very short period of time. And after his very public intervention on Dr. Phil, Brown seemed to keep himself clean. At the very least, he managed to keep himself out of handcuffs for the past several years, but all of that ended with this alleged attempted assault on his own brother.

At this point, it’s unclear whether Orlando Brown was on drugs when he allegedly attacked Matthew Brown or if there were any other family dynamics at play. One thing that is clear, though, is that fans of That’s So Raven will continue supporting Brown. And we can only hope that he finally gets the help he needs to end this destructive cycle for good.
