Netflix’s Next Big Series Will Be About A Real-Life Porn Star
A new Netflix series is being developed that will detail the life of famous porn star, Rocco Siffredi.
Netflix has a big new drama series in the works, but this time it will revolve around the real life of a porn star named, Rocco Siffredi. Siffredi’s life is going to be dissected, as the synopsis for the series promises to go through the man’s life from childhood, which showcases his origins, his relationship with love, and the starting point that ultimately led to him choosing porn as a career path. This new series will be aptly titled, Supersex.
The part of Rocco Siffredi will be portrayed by Alessandro Borghi. Also, cast in the series are Jasmine Trinca as Lucia, Adriano Giannini as Tomasso, and Saul Nanni as the young version of Rocco. This new Netflix series was written and directed by Francesca Manieri, with Matteo Rovere, Francesco Carrozzini, and Francesca Mazzoleni serving as directors of the seven-episode series when it makes its debut in 2023.
Francesca Manieri went deeper into the series, saying that the seven episodes are a detailed look at the journey in which it takes Rocco Siffredi to say, “I love you.” According to Manieri, “Supersex is the story of a man who takes seven episodes and 350 minutes to say ‘I love you,’ to accept that the demon in his body is compatible with love. To do this, he must expose the only part of him that we have never seen: his soul.”
Rocco Siffredi starred in over 1,300 pornographic films and is known as the “Italian Stallion.” However, the man was not willing to perform in these movies any longer, as his children were getting older, so he left that life behind in 2004, though he turned into a producer and director for pornographic films. However, dissatisfied with how the industry was operating and the male talent, he returned in 2009, before once again retiring in 2015, stating that he did not wish to lose his wife by staying as a performer, which is something that is likely to be detailed in the Netflix biopic series.
This new Netflix series, Supersex, sounds like it is going to be quite a captivating look at Rocco Siffredi’s life from how he grew up to what led to the man getting into the pornographic industry back in the 1980s. Most of the biopic shows and films that have been released on streaming platforms have been mostly about musicians and true crime figures, so it interesting that a porn star will now be the focus.
Supersex is going to debut on Netflix sometime in 2023, and the series is currently filming right now. We are likely to not see this series until later in 2023, meaning that it could be released in the fall months of next year, as it usually takes around a year from when a series begins filming. The trailer for the series might also not debut until the spring or summer of next year.
