Morena Baccarin is taking on a new role in the NBC series titled The Endgame. The actress is stepping into the shoes of a criminal mastermind in the new show. The pilot is set to premiere on February 21 and has a list of stars joining in on the drama series. Morena Baccarin has been working in the industry for some time now, and has portrayed various characters in films such as Deadpool and television shows such as Firefly and Homeland. However, Baccarin’s performance as a criminal mastermind will be interesting to see on the screen.

Morena Baccarin is able to succeed in portraying any character that she is given, especially playing the role of an international arms dealer in a heist drama. Baccarin will play Elena Federova, whose character comes head to head with Agent Val Turner upon pulling off multiple bank heists. Agent Val Turner will be played by Ryan Michelle Bathe. Baccarin is thrilled to have the opportunity to play the role, and has expressed her excitement recently on her Instagram page. The actress posted a photo of herself as the character of Federova. She is wearing a long, royal blue dress that ties at the waist. The actress is also wearing a glamorous, expensive-looking necklace, which seems fitting for a mastermind who is able to fashionably pull off successful bank heists. Baccarin has a serious, dramatic look, which seems to fit the atmosphere of the show, based on what we have seen from the trailer so far. The actress added a caption to the post, stating, “3 day countdown until my new show #TheEndgame. Set your reminder.” See the post from Morena Baccarin below:

There seems to be a lot of hype for the new NBC series. According to People, the show is directed and executive produced by Justin Lin, who has also directed films in the popular franchise, Fast and Furious. The show was created by Jake Coburn and Nicholas Wootton. Although at first glance, the show might seem like a simple hero vs. villain plotline, there is more to the story. Morena Baccarin went into detail about the series. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Baccarin said, “The show is about rooting out corruption and greed. From my character’s point of view, she plans to make the world a better place.” It seems that Elena Federova might be more of an anti-hero in the series, rather than a criminal mastermind with only the intention of taking over the world.

The trailer of the series gives an impeccable introduction to Morena Baccarin’s character. Dawning a fashionable blue dress, decked out in jewels and sleek hair, her character is captured by authorities on over a hundred criminal charges. A clip shows one of the officers taking out a piece of paper from his jacket, where a note simply states, “I’m the Queen.” The camera then pans to Baccarin, where she looks the authorities dead in the eye and nonchalantly asks, “Have I got your attention?” The show seems to have a lot to offer, including drama, action and possibly, very interesting plot twists. See the trailer below, which could possibly give anyone chills for how well it was put together.

Morena Baccarin will bring an era of class and sophistication to the character, and will be intriguing to see how she portrays Elena Federova. Baccarin has worked on various television series in the past, such as Firefly and Gotham. The series will officially premiere on February 21st, and fans will finally have a chance to see Baccarin and a talented cast bring the story to life.
