People who watch Jeopardy! are a very dedicated bunch. Their eye for detail is extraordinary, noticing the slightest change to the game show’s format, or if one of the hosts repeats an outfit. Mayim Bialik was guilty of the latter, wearing an orange knit blazer for a second time on the popular quiz series. Now, she wants viewers to know that she is very aware of the discussions about it on social media.

Appearing on the Drew Barrymore Show, the Blossom alum was asked about the attention her sweater blazer was receiving. “All day people are freaking out on social media about your jacket. But did you know that your hair and outfit were making like..?” Barrymore asked. Mayim Bialik said she didn’t at first. She added that her mother actually mentioned the outfit before it was anywhere else. The sweater that got the internet (and Mayim Bialik’s mother) talking can be seen below.

Knowing that she had worn the ensemble before, Mayim Bialik promised the observant obsessive commenting online community that she will never wear that blazer again. “That’s it. Done!” she told Drew Barrymore. The Call Me Kat star then talked about how the rules of fashion make it more difficult for women to appear in unique outfits. This is especially true on days when she has to tape multiple episodes.

She said for men in similar on-screen positions, like her Jeopardy! co-host Ken Jennings, needing new outfits is also a daily requirement. But due to the smart dress code and very few differences in suits, men just need to change their ties and they’re good to go. Shrugging it off, Mayim Bialik noted that repeated outfits are less noticeable on them. Fortunately, Drew Barrymore was there to assure the Jeopardy! host that no one will be taking her to clothing court because she wore the same sweater blazer more than once. For now, Mayim Bialik will be sharing Jeopardy! hosting duties with Ken Jennings until the end of the 38th season. The duo has been featured on the game show since last August, with the network opting to keep them as hosts until further notice. There has been no confirmation about who might take over as permanent quiz master to succeed Alex Trebek who lost his battle with cancer in 2020.

Meanwhile, Mayim Bialik has been enjoying the success of her comedy series Call Me Kat.  The series is based on the popular British sitcom Miranda created by Miranda Hart. It focuses on 39-year-old Kat, who wants to show the world that single women can have happy, fulfilling lives. Each hilarious episode follows her day-to adventures as she juggles her complicated life and her cat café in Louisville.

Call Me Kat features Mayim Bialik as the titular character and is written by Darlene Hunt. The series premiered on Fox as a midseason entry during the 2020–2021 season. Starring alongside The Big Bang Theory alum is Swoosie Kurtz as Sheila, Leslie Jordan as Phil, Kyla Pratt as Randi, Julian Gant as Carter, Cheyenne Jackson as Max, and Christopher Rivas as Oscar. After a successful first season, the Mayim Bialik starrer was picked up for a second season which began on January 9th. Season two of Call Me Kat wraps later this month.
