Kit Harington is set to return to HBO, the network where he made a name for himself as Jon Snow on Game of Thrones. As reported by Deadline, the Marvel star will join the cast of Industry, the collaborative production between HBO and BBC that pulls back the curtain on the dramatic world of high finance in the UK.

Kit Harington will join season three of the hit HBO series, which is set to begin production in the UK this month. The eight-episode season will follow its cast of finance tycoons on their firm’s foray into ethical investing. The endeavor leads the London office of Pierpont & Co. to Harington’s character, Henry Muck.

Muck is the CEO of Lumi, a buzzing green tech company on the verge of going public. His presence is sure to add even more drama to the intricate and expansive web of deceit holding the show and its characters together. Kit Harington will make his triumphant return to HBO as a recurring character throughout the season, while those that want to get caught up can watch Industry’s first two seasons streaming now on HBO Max.

As Kit Harington prepares for his return to HBO, his debut on Apple TV+ has just begun. Harington stars in the climate change sci-fi drama Extrapolations, an expansive tale with a star-studded ensemble. The series boasts appearances from Meryl Streep, Edward Norton, Marion Cotillard, Tobey Maguire, Keri Russell, Daveed Diggs, Diane Lane, David Schwimmer, Gemma Chan, and Forest Whitaker.

Rumors have floated around that Kit Harington will return to HBO for a Game of Thrones spin-off that will follow Jon Snow in the aftermath of the hit show. Harington has been non-committal about the project and its details, but at last year’s Game of Thrones convention, he said of his character, “When we find him in that cell, he’s preparing to be beheaded, and he wants to be. He’s done. The fact he goes to the Wall is the greatest gift and also the greatest curse.”

Franchises have been the name of the game for studios and streamers. Following the monumental success of Game of Thrones and its impressive follow-up, House of the Dragon, seeing more spin-offs would not be a surprise.

Kit Harington may make another return to HBO for the Game of Thrones spin-off, but he is expected to don a different suit of armor for Marvel. Following his turn in 2021’s The Eternals, Harington has been rumored to return to the MCU as the Black Knight. However, as Marvel shuffles its slate amid corporate and economic shifts, Harington’s role in the Marvel canon moving forward has been called into question.

As the powers that be develop potential franchise material for Kit Harington to lead, the actor will take on a good old-fashioned action thriller with Blood For Dust. Starring alongside Josh Lucas, Scoot McNairy, and Ethan Suplee, Harington plays Ricky, a bad seed that pulls an old friend onto a dangerous path.

Jon Snow fans may be disappointed that Kit Harington is returning to HBO as anyone other than Jon Snow. As for Industry fans, they can look forward to the addition of a powerhouse actor to their show. Harington has proven himself a force to be reckoned with in the acting world, and his turn in Industry may have Game of Thrones fans lining up for a new kind of show.
