Jodie Comer, co-star of Killing Eve, is set to star in a new movie called The End We Start. The End We Start is a thriller that will be produced by Benedict Cumberbatch’s company SunnyMarch along with Hera Pictures, Anton, and BBC Film. The movie will be directed by Mahalia Belo and the script is by Alice Burch.

The End We Start is adapted from the novel by Megan Hunter. It will tell the story of an environmental crisis flooding the city of London and separating a young family in the chaos. Jodie Comer will be playing a mother who has to find her way home with her newborn baby. As of now, Jodie Comer is the only star attached to the project. Jodie Comer is best known for her prominent role in Killing Eve, where she played an assassin who went up against Sandra Oh’s security operative in four seasons of cat and mouse.

Jodie Comer won an Emmy for her time on Killing Eve. Since she started on the show in 2018, she has appeared in several big-budget features. Most notably Ridley Scott’s The Last Duel alongside Matt Damon, Adam Driver, and Ben Affleck. Another hit for her was the Ryan Reynolds-starring Free Guy. In addition to this new film The End We Start, Comer is also set to star in a TV series called Big Swiss. Big Swiss tells the story of a woman who transcribes sex therapy sessions in New York. She becomes obsessed with a client named Flavia, who Comer is listed to play.

Fans of Killing Eve should definitely be excited to see Comer return to TV. It will also be great to see Comer as the main lead in a movie. While she has prominent roles in Free Guy and The Last Duel, she wasn’t the lead role. Her acting talents will certainly make this movie one to keep an eye out for. This looks to be the next project on the docket for Benedict Cumberbatch’s production company SunnyMarch, though they also acquired the rights to the book Migrations by Charlotte McConaghy. That book is also a story based on climate change, telling the story of a woman who arrives in Greenland with the goal to follow the last Arctic terns on what could be their final migration to Antarctica. Claire Foy is currently attached to star. When Benedict Cumberbatch isn’t busy working on projects for his production company, he’s starring in major Marvel blockbusters like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness or nabbing Oscar nominations for roles like The Power of the Dog. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is currently in theaters if you’re looking to check out his latest role.

There is no word on a release date yet for Jodie Comer’s newest movie, but we’ll presumably learn more soon. Until then, you can stream all four seasons of Killing Eve on AMC+. You can also check out episodes of the show on Hulu, but only up to the third season.
