Sorry dino fans, but the social media review embargo for Jurassic World: Dominion has been lifted and it looks like the critic consensus is decidedly negative. Critics are taking to Twitter to give their review snippets on the movie and the theme is pretty clear — while it looks good, the story is not. Look at what some critics had to say:

It looks like the common theme between those two Jurassic World: Dominion reviews is that the story is uninteresting and needlessly complex. This would make sense if you’re a fan of the original Jurassic Park. That story was perfectly told, straightforward, and elevated by the presence of dinos. It sounds like the opposite might be true in the latest entry to the series. On the other hand, some critics enjoyed their time with Jurassic World: Dominion. Check out this review:

This is a much sunnier disposition for the final entry to the Jurassic World trilogy. It seems like this reviewer enjoyed the dinosaur action, Jeff Goldblum, and the action scenarios. However, they don’t mention much about the story, so it could be that it is just one of the weaker aspects of the film. Still, if you like dinosaurs, it sounds like you might be getting what you want with Jurassic World: Dominion. Then again, some critics are saying the opposite and that the dinosaurs come secondary to insects. As this reviewer noted below:

It is a bit confusing to see the divisiveness of these reviews because a lot of them are essentially saying things that are the exact opposite. One reviewer might say that the plot has plenty of dinosaurs while another might say that the focus on insects was confusing and took away from the dinosaur action. Still, there have been plenty of cases where critics have hated a movie and audiences loved it. If you want a true Jurassic World: Dominion experience, you might want to just take the advice of the Twitter user below:

For plenty of people, seeing Jurassic World: Dominion is going to be an inevitability, regardless of what critics say. If you grew up with the Jurassic Park movies and loved them, you’re going to make it to theaters to see the return of the characters from the original. Plus, dinosaurs are going to be fun to see on the big screen no matter what.

It’s never a bad idea to just go in without reading any reviews so you can form your own opinion. Jurassic World: Dominion will be the final entry to the Jurassic World trilogy. It stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, DeWanda Wise, Mamoudou Athie, Isabella Sermon, BD Wong, Campbell Scott, Omar Sy, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, and more. The stars of the original Jurassic Park also return, with Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum all reprising their famous roles. Jurassic World: Dominion hits theaters this Friday, June 10. Check it out for yourself to see if you agree with the critics!
