Deadline has reported that Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn is in talks to make the jump to another major horror franchise in Paramount’s A Quiet Place: Day One. Quinn definitely won’t want to take on these monsters by shredding a Metallica solo. Quinn would join the previously announced talent for the A Quiet Place spin-off, which includes Lupita Nyong’o as the co-lead and Michael Sarnoski as writer and director.

Other than the news about Joseph Quinn, Nyong’o, and Sarnoski, details about the A Quiet Place spin-off are being kept under wraps. The film will be a part of Paramount’s effort to steer the universe created in the first two films into a franchise. John Krasinski will also be returning as director for A Quiet Place Part III.

Judging by the name of the spin-off, A Quiet Place: Day One could give us more of the brief flashback sequence we saw in A Quiet Place Part II where the monsters first started attacking. The exciting sequence was a chaotic and intriguing part of the film that would definitely be interesting to explore further. If Joseph Quinn and Lupita N’yongo’s characters survive the film, it could also give us a bigger post-attack America to explore.

Joseph Quinn’s career is launching into the stratosphere after his fan-favorite turn as Eddie Munson in Season 4 of Stranger Things. Although his character met an unfortunate fate at the end of the season, the fan demand for his return in the final season is borderline rabid. There are theories all over the Internet on how Munson could be brought back to life, either as a friend or foe of the Hawkins gang.

Along with introducing Joseph Quinn’s Eddie Munson, Season 4 of Stranger Things introduced Jamie Campbell Bower’s Vecna, the most fearsome villain the show has seen yet. While Vecna’s return is almost inevitable, fans think that Vecna may find a way to resurrect Munson and use him to fight on the side of the Upside Down. Other theories say that Munson will end up helping the fight against Vecna and the Mind Flayer, one way or another.

There is no word yet on when the Duffer Brothers will bring the final season of Stranger Things to Netflix. Whether or not Joseph Quinn returns as Munson, the final season will star Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Priya Ferguson, Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Maya Hawke, David Harbour, and Winona Ryder. Although her character ended Season 4 in a coma, Sadie Sink will likely be returning as well.

It has also been revealed that the episode title of the Stranger Things Season 5 premiere will be “Chapter One: The Crawl,” so count on there being plenty of theories as to what that could mean. Filming will reportedly start in 2023, so we can probably expect to see the final season premiere sometime in 2024. In the meantime, you’ll be able to catch Joseph Quinn in the A Quiet Place spin-off when it’s released on March 8, 2024.
