Jonathan Majors recently revealed the inspirations that led to his portrayal of Kang the Conqueror, which included Iron Man, Genghis Khan, and Alexander the Great. Now, the actor has revealed who he channeled the most to take on his villainous characters in both Creed III and Ant-Man, which includes a DC legend. According to Majors, “Okay, first of all, he’s [Heath Ledger] gorgeous…he didn’t give a f***…he threw his body around…I’m coming for that… I’m inspired.”

No one is going to argue that Heath Ledger portrayed one of the best villains out of any superhero property that has ever been created, and the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor certainly drives that home. If Jonathan Majors is aiming to be as violent and poetic as the Joker was in The Dark Knight, we are certainly here for it. Majors has a tall task ahead of him, as he is set to be the next big baddie in the MCU when he arrives as Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man 3.

From the trailers alone, we are seeing Jonathan Majors portray the devious villain type quite well, as the most recent look at Ant-Man 3 shows Kang attempting to lure in Scott Lang with false promises. While Scott Lang missed out on years because of Thanos and the “blip,” he wants to make up for lost time with his daughter, and it appears that he will do everything in his power to make that happen. However, Kang is also up to something, as he promises that if Ant-Man helps him to escape the Quantum Realm, he can grant those lofty wishes.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is the next big MCU release and will serve as the kicking-off point for Phase 5 of the Multiverse Saga. Jonathan Majors is set to appear as Kang the Conqueror, although we have previously been introduced to a version of the villain in the series, Loki. Loki saw a milder version of Kang, who was named, “He Who Remains” and was the guardian of the Sacred Timeline that was destroyed by the pair of Lokis.

He Who Remains warned Sylvie and Loki about the variants of his own self that would be far more violent, and now we get to see one of those variants. For those who do not know, Kang the Conqueror has been many people in the comics, including a version of Doctor Doom. We are not sure if Jonathan Majors is going to be Doctor Doom who transformed into Kang the Conqueror, but it would make sense if Marvel went that route.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set to debut on February 18th in theaters, and we cannot wait to see what Jonathan Majors brings to the table as Kang the Conqueror. The man is already a celebrated actor, and if he is channeling Heath Ledger in his portrayal of the big baddie, we cannot wait to see what he does. Majors will be joined by film series regulars, Michael Douglas, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and many more.
