Behind the Music is a wildly popular documentary television series that interviews and profiles musical artists, their careers, their highs and lows, and everything in between. The show initially ran from August 1997 to July 2014 on VH1 becoming one of the network’s longest-running programs. Paramount rebooted the series last year, and according to Deadline, the company will be adding new episodes to its streaming service later this month, with one featuring global superstar Jennifer Lopez.

The latest season of Behind the Music will serve up four brand new installments, and a recent trailer gives us a glance into what to expect from each episode. Jennifer Lopez was featured in a previous episode of the series back in 2010, which highlighted her rise to fame and news-making romances with P. Diddy, Marc Anthony, and Ben Affleck. Nevertheless, her life has undergone some rather significant changes over the past decade, and a forthcoming episode will reflect on key moments like her marriage to Ben Affleck and various career achievements.

In addition to Jennifer Lopez, the new season of the docuseries will feature LGBTQ+ pop icon Boy George, country superstar Jason Aldean, and New York hip-hop queen Remy Ma. The upcoming season premieres November 29, 2022, and is executive produced by Bruce Gillmer, Michael Maniaci, and Jennifer Demme for MTV Entertainment Studios. Mark Ford and Alex Castino serve as executive producers for Creature Films, alongside Tara Long for Entertainment One.

While the episode featuring Jennifer Lopez will undoubtedly delve into her career as an actress, dancer, and musician, it will be interesting to see if we get some insight into her status as one of the most followed celebrities on social media.  The triple-threat entertainer frequently engages with her fans across various social networks, particularly Instagram, where she has over 226 million followers. The gorgeous star takes to her page several times a week to share sexy wardrobes, her fierce workout regime, and various products from her cosmetic company.

Outside of social media, Jennifer Lopez leads a seemingly hectic life, but her frantic schedule doesn’t appear to phase her in the slightest. Whether it’s launching and promoting new products for her skincare company, volunteering her time to work with charities, or tending to her new husband Ben Affleck, J Lo can’t seem to sit still. Not to mention, her career as an actress and producer continues to boom.

Jennifer Lopez currently serves as an executive producer on Freeform’s hit series Good Trouble, which was recently renewed for a fifth season. The show is a spin-off of The Fosters, which ran for five seasons between 2013 and 2018 and was also executive produced by J Lo. Good Trouble follows Callie and Mariana Foster, who move to Los Angeles to begin their lives as young adults.

In front of the camera, Jennifer Lopez recently wrapped filming on the forthcoming thriller The Mother, which will premiere on Netflix next May. She’s also set to star in the upcoming sci-fi thriller Atlas, which is currently in production. Before those movies, however, she’ll appear in the romantic comedy Shotgun Wedding alongside Josh Duhamel, which is set to arrive on Amazon Prime on January 27, 2023.
