Things have finally been coming to light for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny with several major role reveals recently being made along with the news of a de-aged Harrison Ford taking many followers by surprise. With all the excitement building around the fifth installment of the Indiana Jones story, fans have been left wondering whether the titular archaeologist’s love interest Marion Ravenwood, played by Karen Allen, will be making an appearance in the upcoming feature. In a recent interview on the red carpet during a screening of Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans, Showbiz 411 caught up with the Scrooged star and asked her if she’d be tagging along for Indy’s latest adventure with the actress responding with a cheeky, “I could tell you but then I’d have to kill you!”

A well-played answer, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull star Karen Allen certainly knows how to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. Although the interviewer attempted to pry, Allen wasn’t having any of it, adding that she couldn’t “say a word,” keeping her cards held close to her chest. Marvel could use a hero like Allen!

As the interviewer pointed out, her character’s last appearance was in the Shia LaBeouf-featuring Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, giving all the more reason for Allen to reprise her role in what’s being dubbed as the franchise’s “final” film. But, the barrage of trick questions was to no avail. When the speedy chat came to an end, nothing Indiana Jones related had slipped through Karen Allen’s lips.

Audiences were first introduced to Marion Ravenwood in 1981’s Raiders of the Lost Ark where she developed a passionate relationship with Harrison Ford’s hero. Although two more Indiana Jones films would come out over the next decade, Karen Allen wouldn’t appear in either, with her next and only other role reprisal happening in the aforementioned Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. While it still seems up in the air, Allen’s involvement in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny would certainly put a nice bow on the legendary franchise.

Before her time in the universe of Indiana Jones, Karen Allen made her breakout performance in the iconic film Animal House. While her details on Indiana Jones 5 were rather hush-hush at The Fabelmans premiere, the actress did joke about a reboot of the John Landis feature which would center around the same gang of raucous youth, now in their elder years. She quipped that it would be called “Animal Home,” adding that they’d now be “living in a nursing home,” but still up to the same antics minus the togas. But, don’t get excited as Allen said, the idea is only a real thing in “the casts’ minds.”

While it has yet to be confirmed as to whether Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will wrap up the tension between Harrison Ford and Karen Allen’s characters, we do know that we can expect to see a cast including Mads Mikkelsen, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, Boyd Holbrook, and Shaunette Renée Wilson. Because it wouldn’t be an Indiana Jones film without Harrison Ford’s character beating down Nazis, the feature will transport audiences back to 1969 and allow us to tag along with Indy one last time.
