Harrison Ford is set to play Indiana Jones for a fifth and final time with the franchise’s next movie gearing up into production finally this month. But they’ve had to take a little break while Ford recovered from an injury he sustained on the set. Heck, this a nearly-80-year-old dude whose best swashbuckling and adventuring might be behind him. But he’s still going to star in the movie at an age when most people are entering the retirement home. From the looks of the latest pictures, it appears he’s on the mend which is great news.

Harrison Ford was spotted walking down the street with his right arm in a sling. He suffered the shoulder injury while rehearsing a fight scene for Indiana Jones 5 which is currently filming in London, England. The injury apparently took place on June 23rd which has meant weeks of recovery for the actor. There doesn’t appear to be any clear timetable on when he’ll be able to return to action in the film. You can see him strolling down the street below.

When we get Harrison Ford back in the fedora with the whip at his side isn’t quite known yet. Injuries might not heal as quickly as they did before for the icon. Regardless, we are set to get a final story in the Indiana Jones franchise, this one more than 13 years after the previous film, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. While plot details are little more than rumors at this point, some things have been hanging out there about how this next movie will go down.

Set in the late 1960s, it looks like Indiana Jones 5 will focus on the Space Race between the United States and the USSR. How Harrison Ford works his titular character into the mix remains to be seen, but this is a guy who’s never had a problem uncovering a conspiracy or even a supernatural element if the moment calls for it. Some rumoring has it that at the center of the story will be Mads Mikkelsen who, it’s said, will play a former Nazi scientist who’s been recruited by the government as part of Operation Paperclip to help with the space initiative.

Of course, with almost any Indiana Jones movie, we are going to have Harrison Ford battling a Nazi or two. That has been part and parcel for almost the entire franchise. In this one, it looks like the evil group will be trying to time travel in order to reset the events of World War II. Again, totally a rumor, but lines up well with what stories we’ve seen in this franchise before.

Other notables in the Indiana Jones 5 cast who will be joining Harrison Ford include Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Boyd Holbrook. James Mangold is at the helm, the first movie in the franchise not directed by Steven Spielberg. But Mangold has a resume of his own, having directed Ford v Ferrari, Logan, and 3:10 to Yuma among many others. So this last Harrison Ford movie is in good hands and it’s great to see that he should be back in action soon enough.
