We’ve already known that the upcoming DC film The Flash would feature Supergirl, Ben Affleck’s Batman, General Zod, and Michael Keaton’s Batman. However, it’s long been suspected (but not confirmed) that the universe-resetting film would feature even more of DC’s beloved characters. Now, thanks to a recent reveal of FunkoPop‘s new line of figurines for The Flash, we can be confident that Wonder Woman will show up somewhere in the film.

In an unassuming Tweet that went out this week, Funkopop revealed that its line of figurines capitalizing on the release of The Flash will include not only the previously-known characters but Wonder Woman as well. The tweet showed a photo of the Wonder Woman figurine alongside figurines of Zod, a young Barry Allen, Iris West, and The Flash himself. The tweet also showed a figurine of Barry Allen in a monkey bathrobe for those interested.

This revelation about The Flash featuring Wonder Woman comes shortly after a promo for Shazam! Fury of the Gods revealed that Gal Gadot would be reprising her role as Wonder Woman. Previously, the question of whether she’d return to that role was left up in the air, with many suspecting that she’d be removed from her role in the same way James Gunn removed Henry Cavill from the role of Superman. Of course, now we have reason to believe that Henry Cavill will return, thanks to a cryptic tweet by Zack Snyder’s Justice League director Zack Snyder.

Of course, it’s unknown whether Gal Gadot will actually show up in The Flash as Wonder Woman, given the film’s dimension-hopping nature. We already have two different versions of Batman, along with Supergirl showing up rather than Superman, meaning that an alternate version of Wonder Woman is possible. However, given the film’s penchant to play on nostalgia, the only other obvious choice would be to bring back the 71-year-old Lynda Carter, who played Wonder Woman in the 1975 TV series of the same name.

The Funkopop website shows figurines of other characters related to The Flash besides Wonder Woman releasing soon — ones that weren’t shown in the tweet. One of these characters is Godspeed, a vengeful antihero who has similar speed-based superpowers to The Flash. The villain Dark Flash is also on the list of toys, along with the serial killer Zoom.

However, since these characters weren’t shown in the tweet, it seems less certain that they will appear in the film version of The Flash than Wonder Woman. Funko’s upcoming line also includes a “TV Series Reverse Flash” figurine, hinting that they might just be featuring characters from the CW TV series alongside characters from the movie. While Godspeed, Zoom, and Dark Flash appeared in the show, Wonder Woman hasn’t, making her presence more likely to be movie-centric.

Ultimately, we’ll most likely have to wait until The Flash releases on June 16, 2023, before we can completely confirm that Wonder Woman, or any other characters not featured in the trailers, will appear in the movie.
